Hi everyone, it was a very long week for us here in New England! A storm raged on Sunday night, and we lost power for a couple of days. That always sets me back a bit. I then visited with my father in Maine for a long weekend visit.

Therefore, I wanted to share just a simple post with you this week. I luv farmhouse decor, however, I am not all farmhouse style for sure! I like to add a few pieces here and there, just because I luv the overall farmhouse look, which includes lots of vintage. It is very simple to add a few pieces to get the farmhouse style feel that is now so popular. And if you watch FIXER UPPER on HGTV with Chip and Joanne, you've already got the idea!

I'll start with this bright yellow vintage stool with steps that I actually purchased online from Hayneedle. And this cotton Mary Lane dish towel.

Books in the kitchen are so great and add so much color and texture! I have to also give a shout out to my cousin Jane Barton Griffith, who authored the second book in, Knead It! available today on Amazon. A great book for those that luv to bake!! I also enjoyed collecting creamers to use for my silverware, for a fun touch. And for a classic farmhouse feel, the blue old fashioned butter dish that I found at the Vermont Kitchen Supply.

I found these vintage locker baskets on my local online marketplace. The locker baskets could be filled with fruit, utensils, dried flowers, greens, magazines, books, etc.. So simple and fun to decorate with.

Of course, Farmhouse signs are so popular right now too. I found this SUPERMARKET sign that was originally sold by Magnolia Market at my local vintage shop, Sweet Pickens of Salem. Score!

You may also follow my Pinterest board, Signs with Style for more home decor sign ideas.

Wooden bowls purchased from The Festive Farmhouse. Allison has a wonderful blog where she sells classic, rustic and authentic farmhouse finds. Monthly on the first Friday of every month. Check her out!

An old scale and candles add to the ambiance and warmth of Farmhouse style too.

A couple of Farmer's Market trays found at Decor Steals. Definitely check them out too if you have not! They have a large selection of farmhouse and vintage "steals".

If you like this post I would luv for you to share it on Pinterest! I've created the above custom pin just for this post! Sharing is Caring!

I also welcome your comments on the post!
