Vintage Hutch Farmhouse Style

Antique hutches are so beautiful I think. They add so much warmth and hygge to almost any room. I found this hutch at a local vintage furniture shop over a year ago and had never really styled it the way I wanted it, until now. I hope you like it and get a little decorating inspiration along the way!

I started with a clean hutch by emptying out the entire unit for a clean, fresh look. I gathered up all the white and silver that I had in the house.

I then started decorating the hutch top down starting with a vintage mountain scene framed in gold, along with some really soft looking baskets that I found at JoAnne Fabrics and a white tea set that was my mothers. I also found this jar of white buttons at an antique store. I luv the soft white touches against the vintage gold.

One thing I had to keep in mind when decorating, is how it would look when I closed the glass doors. Therefore, I had to add some height on the bottom shelf, especially so the items could be seen when the doors were closed. I started with books, however quickly changed that up! Although I do like the books too!! See later photos.

Here is where I replaced the books with some stacked plates from a local consignment shop. The same shop that I found all the silver pieces at! Double Score!!

Pin these ideas for later!

The white pieces are from various consignment shops, antique shops, HomeGoods, and Target.

If some of the pictures are looking a little crooked, it's actually the vintage hutch, which definitely shows off its age!

Vintage books always add so much charm to much-needed filler spaces, along with some displayed white napkins and placemats.

And give me all the Tulips!!

Blankets, wicker chairs, candles, and pillows add to that farmhouse cozy style.
