I have really been digging the new chalkboard craze that I've been seeing all over Pinterest! So much creativity and fun for your home decor.
I've created a Pinterest board, Chalkboard Fun for you to follow and get inspired by too!
You can find chalkboards almost anywhere today from stores like Pottery Barn to your local flea market and consignment shops. I'm partial to the vintage ones myself. There are blackboards and green boards to chose from and they come in all sizes.
This board is a blackboard on one side and a green board on the other side. Dual purpose!
There are a couple of chalk options available today to chose from that will enhance your artistic chalk drawings!
Regular Chalk - For a classic chalkboard look. Crayola chalk is available at most stores that sell office supplies, crafts, etc.
Chalk Markers - I like using these on top of regular chalk to enhance the classic chalk look. There is a variety of these available, in all your favorite colors at your local craft shop, office supplies, Walmart, etc..
I am so impressed by all the chalkboard creativity I have seen. To get tips on lettering and learn things like "you can sharpen your chalk with a pencil sharpener", who knew? You must visit Chalkboard lettering tips. This is where I went to get started.
Chalkboards come in all sizes, I luv this small vintage one. So versatile. You can pop it on any shelf, wall or table and change the saying, scene, etc. daily if you want to.
Decorate for the holidays with chalkboards! Starting with a Thanksgiving theme to a Christmas theme to winter and more! They look great in an entryway.
Hang a chalkboard on your wall!
Do you have an Easel? This easel was left at our house by the previous owners and I luv using it for my chalkboards! It's just perfect. Or maybe a small picture easel for the more petite chalkboards.
If you like this post I would luv for you to share it on Pinterest! I've created the above custom pin just for this post! Sharing is Caring!
