Morning Coffee on the Porch
While I still can, I’m enjoying morning coffee on the porch next to our tabletop fire pit that I found this past summer at a local market.
WHAT I’M COZIED UP IN
How to Assemble the Perfect Vermont Cheese Platter | Vintage Style
There’s nothing like A Fall Visit to The Vermont Country Store and/or all the independent farms to immerse oneself in Vermont’s famous cheeses and maple syrups.
Check out some of my favorites like this Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup paired with Cabot Cheese’s Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese in this post HERE.
So Yummy!
24 Best Outrageous Scarecrows, It’s Fall in Vermont
To kick off the fall foliage decorating season in Vermont a trip to the local nursery always inspires.
Once I have picked out a color palette for the fall season’s decorating, I set out to relish in and shop all the scarecrows, fall flowers, pumpkins, gourds, cider donuts, sunflowers, and more.
Next, it’s time to get our porch and outdoors dressed for Vermont’s autumn foliage season.
Set the Table with Vintage Autumn Warmth
Inspired by a colorful fall bouquet gifted to us by our neighbor’s flower garden, I set the first outdoor table setting of the season.
Picturesque Table Setting with Autumn Mountain Views
Cozy up in faux sheepskin and enjoy the picturesque table mountain views from our vintage wallpaper table on the porch.
Vintage Fall Centerpiece in 5 Easy Steps
We are all about getting outdoors in the fall.
The cool crisp air, hikes in the mountains, fall markets, and a little foraging along the way.
All contributing to simple and angelic fall decor that surrounds and warms us.
Like this vintage toolbox centerpiece created with collected leaves, winterberry, apples, and corn.
Vintage Market Days Fall 2022 Vermont
There is always Vermont Vintage Market Days too, held every year over Columbus Day | Indigenous weekend, where I found this fantastic vintage cobbler rack and restored it quickly and easily using Restor-A-Finish and Feed-N-Wax.
Vintage Market Days, Vermont is where I will traditionally hunt for items to decorate our living room’s built-in shelves for the upcoming winter months. You may see last year’s Cozy Winter Neutral Built-Ins here.
However, this year I’m taking a bit of a hiatus from this tradition, as we get ready to paint the entire interior of the home, which includes the built-in shelving. We will also be wallpapering the bedrooms emerging them into an old Vermont Inn classic style.
So stay tuned for all this starting in November!
Fall Dessert Table with A Pecan Pie Surprise
You may also enjoy this dessert table setting created at the earliest of the Vermont fall foliage season.
Fall Foliage Fire Pit
Fall wouldn’t be complete without an outdoor fire pit to enjoy with friends and family, as we look out over the mountains onto Vermont’s fall foliage display.
We designed and installed this Backyard Conversation Set and Fire Pit Patio over the past 2 years. And I can’t express enough how much it was the best thing we ever did:)
We enjoy it so very much.
Fall Foliage Views from the Hot Tub
One of the greatest pleasures is to be able to enjoy an outdoor hot tub at home when the air is cool and before the snow starts to fly.
I love the hot tub in the wintertime too, but it can be quite brisk getting in and out of it in single-digit temperatures along with the snow and ice…
Fall Hydrangeas
When autumn arrives the limelight hydrangea bushes surrounding our garage turn into the prettiest of pink shades.
Making for beautiful fall bouquets.
We cut these limelights down to below the windows this past spring. And they must have tripled in size over the summer.
Just amazing!
Vermont Fall Foliage Maple Tree
We have been graced with the blessings of this spectacular Vermont Maple Tree that camouflages and shades our porch all summer long.
And when she’s good and ready she will be put on the foxiest orange dress you have ever seen.
Right now, as I write this post we are in Vermont’s peak fall foliage season. But as you can see in the above photograph the Maple Tree has barely started to turn colors. I am told it is because the tree is super healthy.
This photo is from 2 years ago. Last year she lost her leaves to a Nor’easter. When she is in full color this year, I will update this photo.
