I Thrifted These Retro Camp Chairs: Not Practical, But Full of Possibility

“What are you ever going to do with those?”

Honestly, it was a fair question.

When I spotted these retro canvas-backed camping chairs at Hayfield Antiques in the Adirondacks, I almost talked myself out of buying them. They were colorful, charming, and full of retro personality, but they also looked tiny. I wasn’t even convinced an adult could comfortably sit in them, and I certainly didn’t need another pair of chairs.

Then Anna, who was working at the shop, sat right down in one and smiled. “See?” she said. She was right. They weren’t nearly as impractical as I’d imagined.

For $28 each, they were too good to leave behind. Then I spotted the matching little stool, and that sealed the deal.
