First, A Little Thanksgiving Tidbit
One of the reasons I was elated about joining today’s group is, well, we go out to dinner every year for Thanksgiving. It’s been a family tradition of ours for decades now. And I just love Thanksgiving!
Growing up we always had large traditional, extended family Thanksgiving gatherings. But as the years passed by and the families grew larger, these celebrations became more challenging.
You may get a kick out of this old Couser family Thanksgiving conclave from back in 1967 held at my Aunt and Uncle’s place in Melrose, Massachusetts.
Those were the days:)
I am the little girl running all over the place and my father was the photographer.
It was later on when my mother decided on “happy hour” at the house, dinner out, and coffee back at the house. It was less stressful for everyone involved and we have all enjoyed it so much that it has remained a Thanksgiving tradition of ours for nearly 30 years.
Have you ever dined out on Thanksgiving?
TIP, make your reservations months in advance, as most restaurants book up early for the holiday.
