Have a seat at our outdoor table in Vermont. A vintage table set with jazzy autumn woods and whites that you are just going to love in the heart of the Green Mountains.
Today’s table is inspired by my friend Emily over at The Thrifted Table over on Instagram. Emily creates the finest thrifted tables I’ve seen. But when I saw her recent fall table with wood and whites, I couldn’t wait to set my own thrifted table outdoors, on the porch, of course!
Rich, Vibrant Colors of Autumn
How do you transition your dining table from summer to fall?
It’s really pretty easy! Start by looking outdoors at your surroundings.
What colors do you see?
Choose those colors and bring them to your dining table.
Like this simple yet colorful table centerpiece bouquet, which I foraged on a hike with our Berner, Ella.
Now bring those same colors to your place settings, napkins, tablecloths, glassware, etc.

I got lucky and found these blue-purple linen napkins at Vintage Market Days Fall 2022 Vermont this past weekend.
They match the pretty purple Aster flowers in my foraged bouquet.
Woods and Whites Place Settings
Woods and white place settings in the fall are simply glorious on a table.
Mine aren’t anything fancy, either!
The bowls, plates, and placemats are all second-hand and the chargers I bought from Pier 1 Imports back when they still had store locations.
You can never go wrong collecting white and wood table settings. They are timeless and natural no matter what time of the year it is.

I have a rather large collection of vintage brass candlesticks that I’ve mentioned here on the blog numerous times.
The candlesticks add an intimate allure to any table setting indoors or outdoors.
Now, I’ll be honest with you: they may not get lit, as the wind usually blows them out pretty quickly on our porch. But I still enjoy their presence at my table.
Cozy Faux Sheepskin Chair Covers
Now that it’s a bit chilly outside, one of my favorite things to add to my outdoor seating on the porch are these Hebe Faux Fur Sheepskin Chair Couch Covers. The faux furs come in 3 different sizes fitting perfectly into small and large chairs alike.
And very affordable too!
