A Lifestyle of Love Blog Hop
I’m thrilled to join three other very talented home decor bloggers today in sharing reclaimed wood decor ideas hosted by Cindy from County Road 407. If you are joining me from Debra over at Common Ground, welcome! Don’t you just love Debra’s potting bench?
I’ve always admired pallet-style wood and all the furniture you can make with it.
So this year, we decided to create this DIY Pallet coffee table for our porch. It was a fairly simple DIY and took about three days to complete. I think the most time was actually spent sanding down all the pieces.
Where to Find Wood Pallets
We picked out two pallets that we had on hand from our winter stove pellet deliveries. You can find pallets for free at your local hardware store, grocery store, online marketplace, yard sales, Craig’s list, etc…

How to DIY a Pallet Coffee Table
First, we took a saw and cut right down the pallet to the dimensions we had chosen, 2 feet wide.
Then we removed the boards and sanded down the number of boards we needed to complete the 4-foot length that we also chose.

I ordered 2 Shepherd Hardware 9346 2-Inch Medium Duty Plate Casters, a 2-Pack from Amazon that had an antique copper finish, a 2 Pack, and Free Shipping!
Align the Wooden Pallets
Once we aligned all the pieces we decided that we wanted the ends closed off for a more finished look. Here is where we decided to add two more pallet boards on each end, and secured them with a few random bolts inside.

Pallet Coffee Table Glass Top
As soon as we had the finished dimensions, 48′ X 24′, I ordered the glass top from our local glass shop, Northshire Glass. They cut, polished, and rounded the corners for a total cost of $100. I was able to pick it up the next day too!

How to Add the Pallet Coffee Table Mobile Legs
Next, we added the legs to raise the table to a tabletop of 19′ including the casters, to be added afterward.

Once the legs and casters were on, we nailed the tabletop boards in and added the glass top.

This turned out so cool, Ann. And I love the side table to match. I’m sure having the glass on top makes it so much easier to keep clean, avoid spills, etc. You and hubs make a great DIY team!
Thank you so much Lora!
I’ve seen some pallet tables in my day but my-oh-my I LOVE YOURS! It looks professionally made and quite substantial! I think smoothing the edges takes it over the top and you decorate it so nicely. Seems perfect out on the patio. Totally party ready for sure. Thank you so much for joining in. pinned!
Thank you Cindy, I’m so glad you liked it!
I love your coffee table and side table, they look really nice. Thanks for sharing, pinned.
Thank you kindly Marlene! This was one of my first projects as a blogger:)
How fun those pallet tables are. You solved the need for the coffee table to be level for drinks. The glass piece on top is perfect. Love the wheels! And WOW that mobile work bench/station is just so awesome! I love your views, Ann. Don’t know how you keep up with two residences. Of course you have the perfect coffee table furry accessory! Happy Weekend!
Thank you kindly Debra!
