Searching for unique vintage ideas to decorate your outdoor spaces with? Let me show you a few things from this week’s thrifty, vintage haul.
Woo Hoo!
We had our first sunny day in ages with temperatures reaching 60 degrees here today.
It was a perfect day to get out and go “Thrifting with the Gals“!
I have been so anxious to get started on decorating our front porch for spring. The last time I tried, it actually snowed… Check out the post, How To Create An Inviting Front Porch with Wicker Furniture to see more.
And although we are not there just yet weather-wise, it felt so good getting inspired.
I headed over to one of my old stomping grounds, Stone House Antique Center in Chester, Vermont.

Staying Focused
Here are a few vintage items that I was looking for today for our front porch:
- Large heavy dark wooden side tables.
- A large dark wooden trunk that would serve as both a coffee table and a work table.
- Green and White dishes.
- Soft blue and white quilt or blanket.
- Pillows
And if you read my 4 Top Thrifting Goals For 2022 you know that I’m really trying to stay focused thrifting this year!
Although booths like this completely inspire me, they can totally distract me at the same time…
- Like, “wouldn’t a bench like this look so cute on our front porch”?
- And “I’d love that wooden kitchen utensil for our home in Maine“.
- “I need to put tulips like this in my vintage booth down at “The Vintage Soul.”
- And “a Flyer as a mini table, love it”!

Vintage Wooden Side Tables for the Front Porch
- I’m looking for side tables that are heavy so they won’t blow away with the extreme wind and weather we get.
- I want a side table or two that are dark in wood coloring to match our deck’s flooring.
Like this wallpaper table that I recently shared, How to Refinish a Wood Table in Less Than 1 Hour.
Here are three that caught my eye today:
Which one do you like?
Remember, it will reside under a covered porch.
Large Vintage Wooden Trunk
Boy, these used to be everywhere, and I couldn’t find one that was large or tall enough to my liking.
Until I reached the absolute last vintage booth and one of my favorites.
And guess what?
Everything in this booth was 40% OFF today!
I couldn’t leave this trunk behind. It was large, sturdy, and almost half price. It was exactly what I was looking for.
Blue Pillows and A Crock
And that is where I also spied a vintage crock and these blue pillows. Oh My!
I had visions of blue and white pillows on our green wicker furniture on the porch and these were just stunning.
And also 40% OFF!
This antique crock was also a steal with the additional 40% Off.
I’ve really been eyeing and thinking about starting an antique crock collection. They are always so beautiful but always so expensive.
I think it’s time to start adding to my mother’s crock collection in Maine.
You may enjoy seeing the Antique Crocks with White Tulips decorated at our place here in Vermont last spring.
Do you know there wasn’t one green and white dishware set to be found anywhere?
I’m looking for ones like this small collection I started here.
Doesn’t the color go beautifully with the green wicker and dark wood tones?
Vintage Lemonade Set
I got a little off track when I spied these charming vintage lemonade sets.
And technically they are green right?
The green and pink set on the left was over $200, but the set on the right was $19.00!
Oh my gosh, I love it so much!
A Few Other Vintage Gems
All four of those beautiful ladder back chairs were only $95!

And I would love to have those pewter lamps on our porch, but I don’t think they would last, unfortunately.
Blue and White Bedspread
I then got lucky finding this large blue and white throw for $55. Also on my list…
It’s the perfect throw to withstand the elements of the porch yet cozy enough to keep us warm.
I can’t wait to get decorating with it all and share it with you here very soon!
But today it’s raining April showers again so I’m off to the window at The Vintage Soul to fluff and rearrange.

I love how you set-up your porch and the lemonade set is very nice.
Thank you so much Vicki 🙌🏻
Wow! What great finds. Love the Lemonade set. So pretty! I am in LOVE with the crock you bought. Stunning! I too love crocks and would love to purchase more but they are WAY expensive. Sounds like you scored a good deal. 🙂
Thank you so much Lynda. I’m so glad you stopped by today💙💙
Some great finds, love the blue pillows! I really enjoy your blog and the ideas. This weekend at an estate sale I thought of your quest for green and white china; I counted at least 4 sets at the sale. This former dealer had an unreal amount of china and glassware, hence prices were very good. You never know what treasures will be found!
Thank you so much. Oh shoot I wish I had been there, I’m still looking💚💚
Loving the blue pillows and the blue throw! My eye has been drawn to blue lately. You found some great pieces Ann!
Thank you so much Cindy. Me too. Happy Easter🐣🙏🏻
I can’t believe all the incredible finds Ann!
Thank you so much Kim. Happy Easter🐣
I know you had fun by looking at all you bought. You had an excellent day, now to see it all on the porch.
Thank you Marlene. I hope you like it all on the porch💙💙
Would have loved to see the blue pillows on the green chairs. How about less artsy, creative pics, and a few long shots so we can get the whole feel? Great shopping.
Thanks for the suggestion Suzanne. I’ll have more coming for sure on the porch! Stay tuned. Happy Easter🙏🐣💙
Ann,
I love all your porch finds. I’ll share a link on Sunday. Happy Easter.
Thank you so much Rachel🙏🏻
Hi Ann! What an exciting treasure hunt! And you found some great things too!
Thank you so much Amy🤗🤗
Hi Ann. Wow you scored some really beautiful things! Did you buy the dark table with the little splayed feet? I love that table.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. I didn’t only because I couldn’t fit it all. I may be going back soon😉
Hi Ann! You really hit the jackpot yesterday! I particularly love those pillows! 💙💙
Thanks so much Molly. This booth is always my favorite and at 40% off. Woo hoo💃💃
