Vintage ski lodge snowshoes are so classic, aren’t they?

I picked up this pair at an antique shop, Stone House Antiques Center on my way to our place in Maine just after Christmas.

I thought they’d be so cute on the front door, as I like to switch out our 3 wreath front door tradition after the holidays, and I have that classic New England ski lodge style in my head.

I love the look and contrast of the old wooden snowshoes paired with the Essex Green front door and the restored cedar shakes.

How to Hang Vintage Snowshoes

It’s super easy to hang vintage snowshoes on a front door like this. I just used 3 nails to secure this pair to our front door.

Cross and center the snowshoes to where you like, then simply add a nail to the top of each snowshoe and then a third, down below in the middle to secure them both together.

Super easy!

My girlfriend moved from New Hampshire to Florida and gave me a pair of snowshoes. Time to find them and do something creative with them!! We have a glass front door so obviously, no nails 🤣🤣. But I think I will experiment with them near the door. Perfect winter decor!!! Thanks!!!

    1. Yes nails aren’t for everyone for sure. Love the snowshoes anywhere though🙌🏻
