Creating a Halloween Grazing Table with Vintage Treats and Vermont Charm
For this Halloween grazing table, I leaned into the nostalgic charm of old-fashioned candies, artisan cheeses, and classic snacks, many of which I sourced from one of my favorite spots, The Vermont Country Store. Known for its shelves lined with goodies from generations past, it’s the perfect place to pick up fall entertaining essentials that feel both timeless and festive.
On my most recent visit, I loaded up on vintage-inspired Halloween treats like maple leaf cookies, cheddar crackers, creamy fudge, seasonal jams, and of course, a variety of cheeses from Vermont creameries. The old-fashioned candy selection was too fun to pass up, think candy buttons, root beer barrels, black licorice, and peanut butter kisses.

I love how these familiar, throwback treats brought a playful touch to the table while still keeping it elegant and cozy. This grazing table feels like a celebration of simpler times, styled with a Courtly Check cheese board, colorful Mountain Weaver tablecloth, and vintage glassware that give it that signature Dabbling & Decorating look.

Halloween Charcuterie Board Ideas with Vermont Cheeses and Fall Flavors
If you’re building your own Halloween grazing table, a Vermont-inspired charcuterie board is the perfect centerpiece. With a mix of sharp cheddars, creamy bries, and seasonal fruits, you can serve up something that’s both delicious and eye-catching.

Here are three easy and creative ways to display your charcuterie boards using Vermont cheeses and fall favorites:
1. Seasonal Vermont Grazing Board
Layer a mix of local cheeses with crisp apples, juicy grapes, and fresh herbs. Add in crackers, maple-glazed nuts, and crusty bread for a cozy, crowd-pleasing setup with rustic charm.
2. Giant Charcuterie Board for Entertaining
Planning a larger gathering? Go big with a long wooden board or vintage tray piled high with meats, cheeses, dried fruits, pickles, and old-fashioned spreads. This oversized display adds a festive wow-factor to your Halloween porch party.
3. Autumn Harvest Charcuterie Table
Capture the essence of fall with roasted squash bites, apple slices, and cranberry chutneys paired with Vermont cheeses. Decorate with mini pumpkins, fig slices, and sprigs of thyme for a seasonal board that looks as good as it tastes.
Pair any of these boards with mugs of hot cider or mulled wine, and you’ve got the perfect vintage-style Halloween grazing table for cozy porch gatherings or indoor fall soirées.

Styling a Halloween Grazing Table with MacKenzie-Childs Favorites
This Halloween grazing table was originally styled in collaboration with MacKenzie-Childs as part of their Courtly Check fall collection campaign. Their timeless black-and-white checks, whimsical patterns, and seasonal accents were the perfect inspiration for creating a vintage-inspired, porch-side Halloween grazing table setup with cozy fall charm.
Here are a few of the Courtly Check pieces I used and how they brought the entire grazing table to life.
Halloween Grazing Table Pitcher with Fall Garden Blooms
No Halloween grazing table is complete without a touch of seasonal charm, and for me, that started with a floral arrangement in the iconic MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check pitcher. While I was home in Vermont, our thoughtful neighbor dropped off a bouquet of fresh-cut fall flowers straight from her garden, sunny yellows, rich rusts, and soft pinks all bursting with color. I styled them first in our sunroom, then brought the cheerful display outdoors to anchor our Halloween grazing table with vintage flair and garden-fresh beauty.

Halloween Grazing Table Cheese Course with Courtly Check Style
For this Halloween grazing table, I styled the MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check Enamel Cheese Course as a playful and practical centerpiece. I filled it with a nostalgic mix of Vermont cheeses, maple cookies, classic crackers, spiced meats, and old-fashioned candies, all in keeping with the vintage-inspired theme. To complete the look, I paired it with the coordinating Supper Club Cheese Knife Set, bringing a touch of Courtly Check elegance to every slice and spread. It’s a beautiful blend of festive charm and function, perfect for entertaining this time of year.

MacKenzie-Childs Cauldron Magic for Your Halloween Grazing Table
Can we talk about this fabulous MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check Cauldron? It’s the perfect whimsical addition to any Halloween grazing table or even a festive fall spread. With its color-dragged black and white checks, gold-painted interior, and playful orange witch’s feet, it’s part decor, part conversation piece. I filled ours with crisp autumn apples and scattered a few more around the table for a nostalgic, apple-picking touch. It would be just as charming filled with a hearty soup or sweet Halloween treats, too!
